Getting to Copenhagen by air or landside

The most common way to travel to Copenhagen is by using the nearest airport Copenhagen (CPH) Airport which is 6.9 km away and is connected directly with the rest of the city by a metro. If you are either joining ICQE from another European country, or traveling via Billund airport (265km) or Malmo (MMX) (52.4 km) , getting to Copenhagen by train is also an option. Københavns Hovedbanegård (København H) is the central station, and both regional trains and international trains will stop here.

Transportation

The best way to get around Copenhagen is on foot and by bike, especially if the weather is cooperating. Bikes can be rented at multiple locations in the city, or you can use services such as Donkey Republic or Lime. If you’re tired (or cold), you’ll find a modern public transportation system that features metro lines, extensive bus routes and an easy-to-navigate train network. Taxis are plentiful but come at a cost.
